ADCAD1 - AutoCAD – Basics
Students get basic habits necessary for right work with AutoCAD. They meet the background, learn to draw and fully use the editing. They get basic information about dimension, hatching and using blocks. Integral part of this course is also chapter devoted to printing. At the end of this course, students get original certificate.
What we teach you
It is assumed that you can work with PC on user level.
- What is folder, file and shortcut?
- How you start MS Excel?
- Can you work with mouse? Do you know what click and double–click is?
- Do you know how to switch between running applications?
- How to copy file from hard drive to floppy drive?
Required skillsThe delegate should have an understanding of basic drawing techniques or to be able to read drawings. The delegate should also have a basic understanding of an appropriate Windows operating system.Course syllabus
- Meeting the software, localization problem. Customizing of work background
- Work with drawings – load, save. Functions ZOOM, PAN, … Templates
- Coordinate system, points entry, grab modes, drawing tools
- Layers – philosophy, new layer. Line types, line type scale
- Drawing commands – vector, circle, arch, ellipse, curve, …
- Edit commands – copy, shift, mirror, slope, radius, …
- Work with text. Line text, paragraph text, special characters, TTF font
- Special drawing and text tools – curve, editing using nodes
- Hatching – borders, associability, built–in crosshatch patterns
- Scale factor – problems. Print x drawing scale factor
- Dimensioning – object dimensioning, creating styles, dimension editing.
- Blocks – creating blocks and attributes. Work with block explorer.
- Work with layout, creating drawings.
- Print – line size, defining draw area
