10g_DBAI - Oracle Database 10g: Administration Workshop I

The course provides basic review of Oracle server architecture and about functionality of basic components. Participants will learn about instalation, configuration, controlling and system maintenance. Also the basic tools for database monitoring and performance tuning are on the program. The next topics include network configuration, backup and recovery of the database. The course represents the basic part of studies necessary for Oracle DBA Professional certifikation.

    What we teach you

    Students will discuss the high–level architecture of Oracle ORDBMS system. It is important for anderstnading typical DBAs tasks. But the course is also focused to practical tasks of DBAs daily work. Students will practivally learn how to install Oracle software, how to create new database, how to maintain and contol it, how to enlarge the database or change its logical or physical structure, how to manage user accounts, and how to implement basic security principles in database. The next topic of the course is discussion of Oracle networking configuration. Students will aslo learn basic about backup and recovery concepts. The course represents the basic part of studies necessary for Oracle DBA Professional certifikation.
