LXA2 - Linux – Administration

This course is designated for administrators of servers with LINUX operating system who will learn routine and advanced operations which are needful for administration of the system. Participants will learn to administrate LINUX operating system, work with command interpreter, administrate processes, install and administrate printing services, plan tasks, back up important data, monitor performance and load of system. Furthermore, participants will learn to set and monitor system logs, configure starting scripts of operating system, etc.

What we teach you

Participants will learn to administrate LINUX operating system, work with command interpreter, administrate processes, install and administrate printing services, plan tasks, back up important data, monitor performance and load of system.     Logging of system logs and monitoring of operating system

  • Principles of garnering and saving logs in operating system LINUX

    Data backing up

  • Need of data backing up. What to back up?
  • Tools for backing up and their practical usage

    Loading and start of operating system and LILO boot manager

  • Loading, start and initialization of system, starting scripts
  • System run–levels and their configuration

    LINUX operating system kernel

  • What it is the kernel, basic principles (kernel function, kernel modules etc.)
