MOC 6428 - Configuring Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services Servers

The two-days course provides students with the necessary knowledge to plan, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot the Terminal Services on the Windows Server 2008 platform

Who the course is for

The course is intended for IT professionals who work or plan to work with the Terminal Services on the Windows Server 2008 platform. The course should also provide for a comprehensive insite into the problems of migration from previous versions of the technology

What we teach you

  • Install, configure and maintain the Terminal Services server role
  • Configure TS server settings
  • Understand the licensing user and device regimes
  • Install and maintain TS Licensing server
  • Install and maintain application programs into the TS environment
  • Understand and manage TS Easy Print
  • Install and maintain TS Gateway to enable HTTPS access over the Internet
  • Deploy the TS Session Broker service and the TS farm
  • Monitor and service separate servers as well as server farms and control server processing resources

    Required skills

  • Basic ability to work with and manage Windows Server 2008
  • Deep knowledge about TCP/IP and related technologies such as DNS and DHCP
  • Understanding of the Active Directory functions and principles
