This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to create non-executable business process models in BPMN 2.0 (Business Process Model and Notation). Non-executable models are oriented towards the graphical description of a process and are primarily intended for process documentation, supporting communication between people and supporting process improvement. According to statistical surveys, the goal of 90% of BPMo (Business Process Modeling) projects is to create a non-executable model of business processes, these are so-called "paper projects". On the course you will learn to model in BPMN: the hierarchy of business processes, the flow of business process activities driven by events, the relationship of the process with the environment in which the process is implemented (the so-called process context). The aim of the course is to show and demonstrate in a practical exercise the best practices in modelling non-executable business processes in BPMN. The course will teach you 40% of the knowledge required to pass the OMG BPM (OCEB 2) Fundamental certification see https://www.omg.org/certification/bpm/.

During the course, we will demonstrate the topics discussed on a step-by-step business process project in BPMN. Participants can influence the assignment and creation of the project.
We use Enterprise Architect as standard for creating the process model, but course participants can use other modeling tools of their choice.
