The Data Privacy course is intended for everyone involved in the processing and protection of personal data who wants to gain a comprehensive overview of this area. During the course you will understand the history and importance of data protection and become familiar with the fundamental concepts and principles as well as the current legislation, led by the GDPR. Step by step, you will walk through the entire life cycle of personal data protection – from identifying and processing the data, through technical and organisational measures and safeguarding the rights of data subjects, to the current challenges associated with new technologies and international data transfers. Through hands-on exercises, discussions and workshops, you will try out case-study analysis, the design of processes for ensuring GDPR compliance, and preparation for security incidents, so that you gain a comprehensive understanding of how to implement and maintain personal data protection effectively in your own organisation.
