For Microsoft certification exams, except for the MCM certification, attending an official MOC course is not a mandatory requirement to take the exam. Official MOC courses from Microsoft, as well as our own GOC courses, are suitable components of preparation for Microsoft certification exams such as MTA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or MCM. However, the primary goal of this course is not to directly prepare participants for certification exams, but to provide a solid understanding of theoretical principles and to develop the practical skills needed to work effectively with the product. MOC courses typically cover nearly all the areas required for the respective certification exams. However, the depth and emphasis of topics covered in the course may not always exactly match the requirements of the exam. Additional preparation for certification exams can include resources such as MS Press books (so-called Self-Paced Training Kits) and electronic self-test software.
